Whether it is defending physicians against Medicaid reimbursement cuts, making their voice known in the health care reform debate, fighting to reduce administrative burdens, or working to strengthen public health programs, VMS aggressively advocates on behalf of physicians and their patients both in Montpelier and in Washington, D.C. As the only organization advocating full-time on behalf of Vermont’s physicians, VMS members and staff are regularly called upon to testify on legislation that impacts the delivery of health care and often serve on work groups created by the legislature to study health care issues.
